Emily's Kiddies

I found this picture in one of my files, and figured I should post it! Still waiting on Em to give me a written update on her fam. I think she even has another kid to add to this picture. If you email her regularly, light a fire under that girl. Though if she has just had another baby recently, I can understand that one! Cute kids! I think they're at Temple Square in this Picutre! xoxo Cory

I'm a total Slacker too!

Okay, since I'm about halfway through this pregnancy, I don't really have anymore excuses to put this off. Here's the crazy update! We're having another Boy this August...yeah for the boys. Wierd to think that Pud and I will be outnumbered, but I think we're more girl than these boys can handle!
We're moving to Utah this summer or early fall. The company is moving it's corporate offices up to the land of many steeples. Long, interesting, complicated story. Maybe we'll chat about that one later. So, we're selling our house in Anaheim, and looking for one in Happy Valley.
Looking forward to being near family and such. We've missed so many things about Utah, and yet we are a little sad to leave California. It's amazing what you become accustomed to.
Isabelle starts her dance/tap/tumble/ballet class tommorrow. She loves Preschool, going to the "Park" (Disneyland), and loves singing Johnny Cash songs. Cal is my lil' man, loves trains, as you can see by his slipper of choice. He's still the most stubborn kid I've ever met! But we love him just the same!
Adam is busy with work, and all the changes that are happening there. The bishopric is still keeping him very busy and looks forward to the time when we're in Utah and we'll get to be called as the Tablecloth Coordinators. Here's Wishing!
XOXO

Jana's Family has things going on! What's wrong with the rest of y'all!?!

Here is an email sent to me via Celeste, from Jana. Jana's Husband Steven is the one who wrote it, so here goes:
I don’t normally send out regular updates, but there have been some exciting things happen in our family recently. Some of you are already aware of these changes, but I also attached a couple of pictures with this email that you may not have seen.

I recently resigned from IBM and start my new job at Raytheon Missile Systems here in Tucson on Monday as a Radar Signal Processing Engineer. I’m very excited (and a bit nervous) about my new job. The opportunities for advanced learning and challenging projects are more likely in this new job and the environment seems to be a little more family friendly, based on discussions I’ve had with people I will work with. They work the 9/80 schedule, meaning that will have every other Friday off, making it easier to do a little more camping and other short vacations than we have done recently. They took it pretty hard at IBM that I was leaving, but hopefully in the long run this will open a few ey es and make it better for my good co-workers that I left behind.

The other big announcement is that we have a new addition to our family. I know the last time I counted the truck as a “new addition” but this time I’m not joking. Her name is Daisy, yes another girl, so I’m even more outnumbered than I was before. She is a very cute 3 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever. Although very apprehensive at first because she was a very large puppy, the kids have warmed up to her well and she is now a part of the family. Weighing in at 30 pounds at 3 months, she is going to be a very big girl when she grows up. I’m excited to have her as a hiking companion, she will do very well with that type of activity. My dad and I took her down to the Chiricahua Mountains last weekend and she loved it, especially playing in the snow for the first time.

My last day at IBM was on Wednesday of last week, so we went camping for a couple nights at Rockhound State Park in New Mexico. We often seem to pick the weekends of not so optimal weather, but despite some rain and strong winds, we had a great time. It was good to have a little break before I start at the new job. The attached picture of the girls was fr om our trip.

Love,

Steven and Jana

Logan Jimmy Curtis

It's been an entire week and I am just now getting around to sending out this email. Three kids definitely has me pushed to my limits. Once I get in a "grove" things will calm down. Logan Jimmy Curtis was born last Saturday, March 3rd at 4:45am (he continued the Curtis birthday pattern March 3- Logan, March 5- Max, March 7- me, March 9- Renee). He weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and is 19 inches long. He was a little over 3 weeks early. He was our first baby that didn't have to spend any time in the NICU, so we are grateful for that. I came home from the hospital on Monday and Max came down with the flu, followed by Renee and then McKay and myself. Logan's temperature has been up a bit and he has been congested. We have had to take him into the doctor's office everyday since he has been home, so could monitor his "cold" and check his bilirubin level (it was getting higher each day). Yesterday, his bilirubin level finally started going down and he fever was down last night. We hardly ever get sick, so I can't believe the bad timing he all had and what a crazy week it has made it. Things are good now and we enjoying having Logan home with us. I have attached a few pictures (he looks just like Max did as a baby!)
Take care,
Stephanie
